Born in Beaune, the heart of Burgundy’s grands crus, and close to the teroir, Verodalla’s artistic talent first found expression running a Michelin-starred restaurant in Nuits-St-Georges. Her year of revelation came in 2005, finding her true passion and talent as a sculptural artist, which at the same time helped her surmount some serious health issues. By 2007, Verodalla began to show her work in galleries and exhibits in Lyon, Paris and Monaco.

Verodalla’s œuvre is based on feelings. The artist recalls a personal feeling and couples it with an image that catches her attention. She then conceptualizes the canvas or sculpture inwardly, finally creating the material object. Her basic medium, a mineral paste of chalk and cellulose fibers, is a reflection on volume and a well-conceived color palette. Each piece reveals itself as sober, refined, soothing, cheerful, simple and sometimes obvious. Verodalla’s creations reflect harmony and purity, escape and balance, leaving one with a sense of well-being.

As her LivenLuLu have ventured out into the world, like her grandfather, Louis Jadot, one of the first to export his Bourgogne to America, she too is taking her art to the US, recently opening exhibit space in New York.
