Architects’ Regatta
Les Métalliers Champenois, founded by a group of passionate, young metalworkers in an atelier in France’s Champagne region, recreated the Statue of Liberty’s torch and flame in 1984. For some eight years, they organize a regatta with the Manhattan Sailing Club and members of New York’s prominent architectural firms competing in front of Lady Liberty, celebrating French-American artistry and friendship.
